Bruiser is a 1-2 year-old red-nose pit bull.  He is a love-bug! He loves to snuggle and gives great big bear hugs (literally!) to everyone.  He has no food issues (not food-aggressive); in fact he doesn't mind sharing his food with our

two dogs (much to our dismay!).  He's very smart (knows sit, down, stay, no, out, leave it, and is learning how to run on a treadmill) and, for being a puppy, is very well-mannered (better than our 4 and 6 year-old dogs!).  He hasn't chewed anything in the house, doesn't bark excessively, and he's not a digger.

Bruiser is great with kids, but not small animals (including cats).  He doesn't like to swim, but *loves* laying on the top step of the pool, and is entertained for hours with a toy that floats & sinks.  He also loves playing in the hose and will chase the water forever!! He likes to run after the power wash setting the best, and also enjoys chasing the long-distance sprinklers that tick and go back and forth.  He will also "leave it" when you're actually trying to water.  Bruiser is *very* active, and needs a home where the "novelty" of having a dog will not wear off.  When not exercised/played with daily, he will make a toy out of anything.  We've had him neutered and vaccinated for rabies.

Dante (male, eye patch) and Fable (female) are Pit Bull Jack Russell mixes.  They are about two and a half months old, know their names and they are spayed and neutered.  They get along with cats very well, at first all they wanted to do was play with them now they are rarely bothered. They are also mostly potty trained and they are good with kids, with a little bit more training they could be the best dogs ever.

Hello, my name is Louie.  I’m a 15-month-old beautiful Blue Pit Bull, I hear that I’m rare, I think that’s cool.  I started off my life living inside a nice home surrounded with kids, toys and love.  I loved hanging out on the couch watching TV, being lazy, I really enjoyed when we’d play chase and tug-a-war with one of my toys.  I just loved being with a family.

But things started changing with my family.  Loud voices were being used and to tell you the truth I was a little scared sometimes.  Then all of a sudden it was just the mom and my two sisters.  We had to move and after being in the new home for few months we found out that I couldn’t be there.  There was NOWHERE for me to go…

I ended up in a backyard chained to a tree, yep in the Arizona summer.  It was nothing like living in a home!!!  I thought the other dog that was in a kennel in the backyard too was going to be my friend, well he must not have liked having me there..  Because one day he got out of his kennel and attacked me, while I was chained to a tree.  (That is why I have that spot on my head, but it will be gone soon.)  Thank goodness his owner was there and pulled him off of me, I hate to think what could have happened had he not been there.  Whew!  But then the owner wanted me out of there too.

So, here I am living in a boarding place with a bunch of other dogs.  I’m really ready for a forever family or a foster until I can find my forever family!!!  I’ve had all my shots, I’m neutered, I’m micro-chipped and I’m learning all kinds of new things.  Carmen and her Rescue friends say I’m really really smart!  I learn quickly!  But that is because I want to be perfect for when I meet my new forever family!  Would you possibly like me to join your family?

If you would like me to be a part of your family please contact:

Thor was found as a stray.  He is approximately 4 years old and neutered.  He loves people and is good with children.  He loves going for walks. Thor is extremely muscular and STRONG!! He would be best with an experienced pit bull owner.  He does not like other dogs and must be adopted as an only dog.  He would be a great hiking companion.  Please contact Lucky Paws shelter if you are interested in Thor.  Kelly Perry, Director 602-955-1414
