Maricopa County Sheriff's Office MASH Adoptions

Sheriff Joe Arpaio's no-kill animal shelter, MASH, was created to house and care for animals that have been abused or neglected by their caretakers and rescued by the Animal Cruelty Investigative Unit. The purpose of the shelter is to provide a safe, healthy and healing shelter for these tragic animals, who must necessarily await the outcome of their owners' cruelty cases in court. Hopefully, their ultimate outcome will be adoption into loving, permanent homes.  Click here to learn more about MASH.

The animals below are posted as a courtesy to the great people at the Sheriff's office MASH unit.  The adoption process will be handled directly through MASH using the forms located on the MASH website.  Adoption appointments are available every weekday from 9 am to 5 pm, including holidays, and an officer is on duty from 5 am to midnight to answer questions at (602) 876-1212.

 Vickie

#999

Sex: Female

Age: 5 years

Vickie came to MASH on 8/24/07. She was one of rapper DMX's dogs.

She is a very sweet girl who loves people and does not appear to be aggressive towards other dogs.

 Turbo

#710

Sex: Male

Age: 3 years

Turbo came to MASH on 2/1/06, the same case as Fantasia.  He was a puppy when we got him,

so he's grown up here.  He has had surgery on both knees to correct a limp, and he takes joint medication daily to keep them from stiffening up.

Turbo's personality matches his name!  He is a very sweet boy who does not appear to be aggressive.

 Madison

#1090

Sex: Female

Age: 5 years

Madison is a pit bull mix who came to MASH on 3/17/08.  She was abandoned.  She is a cancer survivor, and is the sweetest thing ever.  She LOVES her ball.

Madison is extremely friendly, with everyone and everything, and doesn't seem to have an aggressive bone in her body.

 Queen

#338

Sex: Female

Age: 7 years

Queen came to MASH on 8/1/03.  She is a very sweet girl who needs to be the only animal.  Queen is an older dog who may have arthritis.

She is a bit overweight and sometimes has a little trouble getting around.

She really needs a loving, caring home to make her comfortable.

 Fantasia

#720

Sex: Female

Age: 4 years

Fantasia came to MASH on 2/1/06 with 22 other pits.  Judging by appearances, she was a dog fighter, but she is very sweet with humans.

Fantasia would need to be the only dog/animal in the house.

 Jake

#814

Sex: Male

Age: 3-4 years

Jake came to MASH on 3/7/07.  He was tied to a back bumper of a truck.  He was extremely emaciated and had open sores on his bottom.

He is a very sweet boy who would need

to be the only dog/animal.  He loves to play with hard chew toys and get attention from the staff.  It is not know how he is around children.
